Ten Cars Better at Halloween than You
It’s always fun to go out on a limb and freak people out while trick-or-treating or enjoying the annual Halloween party. That’s why every year we wrack our brains trying to come up with a creepy costume idea. Yeah, candy corns and pumpkin pies are cool, but Halloween just isn’t Halloween without the scary duds.
But while here we are still stumped on what to wear, these ghastly cars are already miles ahead in this whole Halloween shenanigan.
The Jeep Wrangler Mangler
“Damn it, Steve, we’re gonna need a new bug shield”
The Carthedral
This is what happens when a gothic cathedral mates with a black hearse. Complete with flying buttresses, gargoyles and a blood-red stained glass rear window, this car is probably the last thing you’d want to see pulling up behind you while driving alone in some lonely back country road in the dead of the night.
Oh yeah, It’s also an insanely amazing street-legal ‘art car’ created by artist Rebecca Caldwell in 2000! Rebecca actually welded a VW Beetle on top of a 1971 Cadillac hearse. Cool beans!
Here’s a video of it in action:
Alien x Chrysler PT Cruiser
Now we do have a few ideas on how to blow up a Chrysler PT Cruiser—that thing is so fugly, it made it into edmunds.com’s ‘100 Ugliest Cars of All Time’—but we’d definitely be having second thoughts before messing with this Alien-repossessed (hah!) PT Cruiser made by awesome modders from Russia. Ellen Ripley would be proud.
Snakeskin Hatchback
Yep, we’re just gonna NOPE outta here.
Monster Coupe
We’re not quite sure about what’s going on here but this monster/dragon -ish car would be even more dope with a bespoke soft top, (preferably fashioned from the hide of a Norwegian Ridgeback, we suggest). Because rain, you know.
Gargoyle Guzzler
In spite of the fact that we’d probably curl up in a fetal position and cry if we see this sinister car looming in the rear view mirror while in a deserted parking lot at 10pm, we’re digging the purple headlights, dude. Just a bit too many heads, though.
Zombie Apocalypse SUV
Not all Halloween costumes have to be ghoulish, some can be simply badass—just like this zombie apocalypse-ready Knight XV that comes with a built-in oxygen survival kit, a ballistic steel armor and ballistic fiberglass fenders and bumper ideal for running over a zombie horde.
Phantom of the Opera
The magnificent 1936 Rolls-Royce Phantom Jonckheere Coupe is probably the automobile equivalent of dressing up as a suave yet lethal Count Dracula for Halloween. With its sleek art deco styling and blood-red interiors, it looks like it’s on the hunt for its next prey.
Creepy Hands Car
All hands on deck! This car makes us feel itchy.
The Black Widow
It’s like one of those scenes from a horror flick where the parasite from hell takes over its host’s body and they merge into an eight-legged freak dead set on terrorizing the neighborhood. This menacing VW Beetle turned giant black widow stands guard at a warehouse in California, ready to feed on your soul.
