  1.  Try a different car.

For most car guys, they already have their go to car model and brand, changing that could be a huge deal. As the common saying goes “there is nothing wrong with trying”. This year try to go out of your comfort zone and drive a different car. You never know–you might find a new car that suits you better!

  1.  Maintain a schedule.

For your car to run smoothly for the rest of the year, make sure to follow the maintenance schedule in the owner’s manual of your ride because you wouldn’t want to break down in the middle of the road again, don’t you? So start setting the alarm on your phone or post it on your planner to make sure that you won’t forget those dates.

  1. Finish your project car!

We know finishing your car projects cannot be rushed because they take time, hard work, and of course, money. But if you have been stuck in getting your project car on the road for years now, well, it’s time to finish it! If you don’t have enough time to work on it, you could always set an hour during the weekends or have friends you out. Remember: the longer it takes, the more money you have to spend and time that would go to waste, so get moving!

  1.  Educate yourself.

Sometimes we think we know everything that has to do with the things we love, but we might get shocked at how little we actually know. This year, why not try to read more about cars, DIY repair, and other relevant topics? It doesn’t have to be a book or an encyclopedia; it could be in the form of articles on your favorite car sites or magazines. If reading is not your thing, you could always watch videos online. If you love something, learning more about it can help you and others with your broad knowledge of the subject.

  1. DRIVE!

On the top of our list is driving for the sake of it! Yes! We drive everyday on the way to our work, on the way to the grocery, etc. but ask yourself this: for the past year, have you driven just for the sake of it? We bet very few of you will answer “yes.” This year, set aside a time where you could just drive and let your stress and worries slip away and spend time with your ride. It could be on the way to the beach, to the mountain or just around your town.
