APW’s Top 30 Roadtrip Songs of All Time

The open road is a beautiful thing. To some it is a safe haven, a sanctuary of locomotion that helps one find solace in traveling. To others, it is an adventure, a rolling showcase of new sights and undiscovered beauty. However one looks at the open road, “roadtrips” are whatever you need it to be, or, in some cases, whatever you need right now.

Of course, one of the most essential parts of a good road trip is music. Being behind the wheel for several miles and hours is bound to get boring, regardless if you are with driving companions or driving alone. Your car radio/stereo will probably the most essential tool you’ll have outside the car itself. Quite frankly, your roadtrip playlist can make or break this sacred rite that we so enjoy.
