The Japanese automaker Subaru has lined up another crossover SUV for the New York International Auto Show. It carries the new design language noticeable with the WRX that involves sharp sporty angles on the snout. The styling shows subtle dominance with its slim hawk eye headlights complementing hexagonal grille. The windows slant in a way reminiscent of jet planes. It also becomes the second model to use the Subaru Global Platform. It’s only a matter of time when other models follow suit.

Beyond the styling comes the 2-liter Subaru Boxer Engine with Direct Injection. It is capable of putting out 152 horsepower. The heart is mated to either a 6-speed stick shift or the 7-speed Lineartronic CVT which you can manually shift with the paddle shifters placed in the steering column.

Subaru continues to prioritize handling and stability with their vehicles. With the Crosstrek, the center of gravity has been lowered further and its suspension is revised. These things are meant to give the vehicle a stiffer body needed for its applications. The Lineartronic CVT also features a selectable X-Mode which you can use to have better grip on slippery road and steep inclines.

Beyond these things, the crossover also has the following tech features: Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Steering Responsive Headlights, High Beam Assist, Reverse Automatic Braking, and a 4-way Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Inside the cabin, you will also enjoy different amenities to keep you entertained and connected.
