Rate My Ride Wednesdays Roundup: Classic ’77 Ford F-150 Ranger Gets the Gold

Lon Watts’ outstanding 1977 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT is the undisputed champ for this week’s Rate My Ride Wednesdays Roundup. Affectionately called ‘Old Red’, this truly impressive pickup, which is all original except for the tires, carburetor and gas tanks, lorded over the competition with a lofty average rating of 9.3. That score definitely ranks as one of the highest we’ve ever seen in the weekly roundups. Lon got this classic two-tone pickup from his Dad. He also says ‘Old Red’ has already won in car shows. Truly a champ!

Runner up for this week is David Villeneuve’s 2006 Ford Ranger XLT. This bright yellow pickup looked awesome in the photo David sent in. It received an average rating of 6.6, enough to win this week’s “silver”. In third place is Jeremy Jowers’s red Ford Mustang which mustered an average score of 4.3. Rounding out our weekly round up is John’s black Ford F-150 which received an average score of 3.3.
