Rate My Ride Wednesdays Roundup: A Magnificent Trio of Vintage Muscle Cars

It is our opening salvo for 2014 and boy have we got some awesome rides to feature this week. In fact, we’re hard-pressed trying to recall if we’ve ever had a more impressive line up of rides for our weekly Rate My Ride Wednesdays Roundup. Last week, three magnificent muscle cars and two pick up trucks were our top selections. Just as we expected, the vintage muscle cars scored the highest points from our fans, with some of the highest average scores we’ve seen in our roundups.

Leading the pack is Mike Ashley’s stunning 1967 Chevy Impala SS Convertible. This beautiful bolero red muscle car got a stratospheric average rating of 9.44. That’s actually one of the highest average ratings we’ve seen. Kudos to Mike for his superbly well-maintained ’67 Impala.

At first glance anyone would think Joey Keegan’s 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am would win this roundup hands down. With its retro futuristic design and impeccable blue jewel paint job, Joey’s ride is a real head turner. There’s little surprise that it garnered an average rating of 9.1. Still, it wasn’t enough to beat Mike’s Impala so it had to settle for second best this week.

In third place is Tim Kowalchick’s mean green machine, a 1st generation Chevrolet Camaro. Tim’s ride sped off with an average rating of 8.3. Completing our roundup for the week are two Dodge Rams. Leo Chavez’s 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10 got an average rating of 8.1 while Troy Wilson’s 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4×4 Hemi got an average rating of 6.7.
